Publish a post

  1. Open the post under Blog
  2. Go to the General tab
  3. Check Published (Birt)
  4. Click Save changes (Vista breytingar)
The post now appears on the site under News (Fréttir).

Drafts (unpublished)

If Published is unchecked, the post is a draft. It is only visible in the dashboard — not on the website. On the list you see status:

Scheduled publishing

  1. Leave Published unchecked
  2. Set Scheduled publish (Áætluð birting) — pick date and time
  3. Save
The post publishes automatically when the time arrives.

SEO

Under Search engine content (Leitarvélaefni) you can set:
  • Meta title — title in search engines (~60 characters)
  • Meta description — short summary in search results (~160 characters)
If you leave meta fields empty, the site uses the post title and description automatically.

Delete a post

At the bottom of the edit page, click Delete post (Eyða færslu). This removes the post completely.
Deletion cannot be undone. Make sure you want to remove the post before confirming.
